Hanamkonda: Don’t make baseless allegations against the State government, TRS State secretary Gudimalla Ravi Kumar told the Congress. Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Ravi said that it has become a habit for the Congress leaders to resort to mudslinging against the TRS government.

Referring to the District Congress Committee president Nayini Rajender Reddy’s allegations made against the workmanship of the government, he said that development won’t happen overnight, it’s a continuous process.

“What is wrong if the administration and the people’s representatives visit Khammam to see the road development model adapted there,” Ravi said, finding fault with the DCC chief’s comments. It may be noted here that DCC chief ridiculed the TRS leaders’ visit to Khammam on Wednesday, stating that Warangal being a Greater Municipal Corporation had to learn from others.

Whether Khammam is a small town or big it’s not an issue. Roads and junctions have been well developed there. Nothing wrong if we learn from better developmental model, Ravi said, stating that government is committed to develop Warangal on par with the metro cities.

Instead of making baseless allegations, the Congress needs to have a thought over the development taking place in the city, he said, referring to the fast-paced works of the double bedroom house works in SR Nagar and Ambedkar NagarHe dared the Congress to come for an open debate over development in Warangal.Deputy Mayor Sirajuddin, corporators Boinapally Ranjith Kumar, V Ravinder, J Ramesh, Boda Dinna, Nalla Swaroopa Rani, M Swapna and Madhavi Reddy were among others present.
