“We wanted to ensure some happy moments for the children here marking the New Year and hence organised the programme,” they said.The district Child Welfare Committee Chairperson K Anitha Reddy and Telangana Private Lecturers Association leader Ch Shanker who attended the programme lauded the philanthropic act by the couple and their son.
Hanamkonda: A grand New Year celebration was held at Athidi Ashram, a home for mentally challenged, situated in Hanamkonda.The programme was organised by a couple K Gourishwari and Kanakaiah and their son Venkatesh. They distributed bed sheets and fruits and offered a lavish lunch for the kids at the home on Sunday.
