Nizamabad:District Collector Dr Yogitha Rana urged the government employees to wear the clothes stitched by handloom weavers before coming to attend the Praja Vani programme at the Collectorate in the town on every Monday.Inaugurating the cell of the Telangana Society for Handloom Weavers in the premises of the Collectorate in the town on Monday, she said that the Chief Minister has advised all the government employees to wear the clothes stitched by the weavers to patronise and encourage them. All the employees working in mandals and villages and their families should wear them, she added.

As a result, the handloom workers who are facing immense financial hardships, would prosper, she added. She urged all the employees to take membership of the Handloom Workers Society and purchase clothes worth Rs 500 every month.

If they purchased it continuously for nine months, they would get subsidy, she added. She said that there is good market for handloom clothes and urged the employees to purchase as many as clothes as possible. They should all take computerised receipts without fail after making the purchase, she said. District Revenue Officer Padmaker, DRDA Project director Venkateshwarlu, Backward Classes Welfare Officer Vimaladevi, Dr Kavitha, Advocate Narasa Reddy and others were present.
