Shamirpet turns cashless

Jangaon: District Collector Devasena declared Shamirpet as cashless transaction village and also Open Defecation-Free, here on Monday.She said the village is the first in the district and the third in the State to adopt cashless transactions. She appealed to people for their cooperation in developing Jangaon in all the sectors.

Government Whip in legislative council B Venkateswarlu, who was the chief guest, appreciated the villagers and the officials for developing the village. He lauded the district for its historic background.Local legislator Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy, officials and others participated in the programme.
