HMTV Warangal correspondent L Bala Kumar has won ‘State level police award’.

He won the award for his special story on the positive impact of people friendly policing initiatives by Warangal police Commissionerate, which adopted Pembarthi village of Hasanparthy mandal of Warangal Urban district.

The news story telecast in HMTV in October 2016 has won accolades from various sections and won the award given on the occasion Police Commemoration Week. Bala Kumar will receive the award from DGP Anurag Sharma in Hyderabad on January 5.

The HMTV-The Hans India management, Editor-in-chief Prof K Nageshwar, HMTV in-put editor VV Rao and staff have congratulated Bala Kumar on winning the award.

Commissioner of Police G Sudheer Babu, Warangal (West) MLA D Vinay Bhasker, Palakurthy MLA E Dayakar Rao, city Congress working president Rajanala Srihari and others have also congratulated the scribe.

In the year 2012, Bala Kumar has also won UNICEF award for his news story on child rights.
