Warangal: As the State government’s ‘wear handloom’ campaign gathers steam, the Warangal Police Commissionerate too resolved to lend its support to the cause. Commissioner of Police G Sudheer Babu has on Wednesday directed his forces to go for handloom products. The move comes in the wake of the government’s campaign to promote handlooms thereby bringing back its past glory.“Notwithstanding the fact that role of handloom industry in the country’s economy is significant, the weaving community is living in deplorable conditions,” he said.
