Cordon and Search: Fake engine oil unit seized

Karimnagar: ‘Many illegal activities, going on in the district, will be cracked down with Cordon and Search operations.’ said Commissioner of Police V B Kamalasan Reddy in Karimnagar on Wednesday.Led by the Commissioner of Police, nearly 200 members of police officials conducted Cordon and Search operations at Hussainpura of Karimnagar in the early hours on Wednesday and seized the unit that have been manufacturing fake engine oil, distilled water used to fill batteries and poor quality acid bottles.

Police arrested five persons, who were running the unit along with recovering 650 litres kerosene that was purchased from ration deals to sell in black market.Speaking on the occasion, Kamalasan Reddy said the search operations are meant to build confidence of safety and security among the public.

All sections of people were supporting police officials voluntarily during the search operations.The search and vehicle check operations are helping us to keep a check on anti-social activities along with controlling illegal activities in the society and also to maintain law and order in the district, the Commissioner of Police said.Inspectors Sadanandam, T Srinivas Rao, Lakshmi Babu, Srinivas Reddy and Ramesh were present along with 20 members of SIs, dog squad, bomb disposal squad and quick reactions team.
