Hyderabad: Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy said the government had decided to set up a Spice Park at Padgal village in Nizamabad district.Replying to a question, the Minister said the park would be coming in an extent of 43.23 acres for which an allocation of Rs 15.50 crore had been made in 2016-17 budget and the total estimate was pegged at about Rs 30 crore, he said.He said the Centre initially gave its nod to establish the park but later went back on the same. Efforts were made to rope in the Patanjali Company headed by prominent Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev to establish the park. The government wanted to encourage private players to process turmeric and encourage turmeric by products, he added.
