Khammam: State General Secretary Ravi Shivarama Krishna of All India Student Federation (AISF) alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is adopting anti-student policies and ignoring the students who lead the Telangana movement in the State, here in Khammam on Thursday.

The representatives of AISF staged dharna in front of the BC welfare office at Nayabazar.Speaking on the occasion, Ravi Shivarama Krishna alleged that all the peoples’ representatives including CM KCR are living royally by neglecting the poor students, who are dying because of cold weather across the State without any blankets. They would realise the serious conditions faced by the students if they sleep in the hostels for one day without any blankets.

When students across the State are facing severe problems because of pending scholarships and fees reimbursement of Rs 2,800 crore, CM KCR invested crores of rupees in the name of Bhatukamma Festival for his daughter and for the construction of CM Camp office, he expressed his anger.

“To hand over higher education to corporate companies like Reliance, CM KCR is trying to dissolve the government education sector by introducing private universities in the State,” he criticised.“A ‘Bus Yatra’ will be held from January 20, to question the government about student issues across the State, from Chief Minister’s Constituency Gajwal and will stage a ‘Maha dharna’ in Hyderabad on February 2 with all students’ organisations present in the State,” he concluded.

The State leaders of the AISF Jagarlamudi Ranjith Kumar, district president Etikala Rama Krishna, Vice-president Vijay, Naveen, Maduri Ravindra Chary, Rajini, Chandrakala and Sumathi were present along with others.
