The thieves were identified as Udugula Surender of Bavupet, Md Ibrahim of Timmapur, T Sathish of Kothagudem, Rangu Srinivas of Manakondur, Rachabathula Ramesh of Jagtial and Madhire Srikanth of Karimnagar.

Karimnagar: The III Town police on Thursday arrested six members of an inter-district gang of thieves and seized gold jewellery worth Rs 9.82 lakh and 10 cell phones. Addressing a press conference, Commissioner of Police VB Kamalasan Reddy said that the gang was involved in 24 thefts in Karimnagar and Sircilla districts.

The thieves were identified as Udugula Surender of Bavupet, Md Ibrahim of Timmapur, T Sathish of Kothagudem, Rangu Srinivas of Manakondur, Rachabathula Ramesh of Jagtial and Madhire Srikanth of Karimnagar.

The police, who suspected the movements of three members of the gang in the Bank Colony Area, took them into custody for questioning. During the interrogation, the trio spilled the beans. Based on their information, the police arrested the three more members of the gang. It’s learnt that one more member of the gang is at large.
