Nirmal: District Collector K Ilambariti directed all the police departments to initiate stringent action against the parents if their minor children were found driving vehicles. Participating in a meeting on ‘Road Safety Measures’ conducted by the RTA of the Nirmal district on Friday, he said that every year, hundreds of people were being killed in road accidents due to rash driving and drunken driving. He urged the RTA department to check with the 30 most accident prone areas in the district and ensure to take the safety measures at the earliest. He has stated that the Bhainsa-Bhokar road, Basar-Mudhole IIIT Road, Nirmal-Bhainsa road,Chityala road are the areas where most of the accidents occurred in the recent past.
