Khammam: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at Centre and the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) in the State were deceiving the Muslim Minorities by making false promises, alleged former Rajya Sabha member and national leader of the Communist Party of India (CPI) Md Aziz Pasha here in Khammam on Sunday.

Speaking at a meeting organised by Muslim organisation, Tanjim-A-Insaaf, here at Giriprasad Bhavan in Khammam on Sunday, Aziz Pasha alleged that Muslims have been discriminated and were facing several attacks for the last several years “The life of Muslims did not change under any government. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao promised implementation of 12 per cent quota before going to elections. However, he failed to keep his word,” felt Aziz Pasha.

“It’s a shame on the government which is not protecting the Wakf Board Lands. Instead, it is donating the clothes to Muslims for Ramzan from the revenue gained from those lands,” he criticised.State Secretary of the organisation Munir Patel said a massive protest would be taken up by all Muslim organisations seeking protection of Wakf and Idgah lands. The meeting was organised under the leadership of Md Salaam, district secretary of the organisation.

District secretary of CPI Bagam Hemanth Rao, Md Moulana, SK Jani Miya, SK Saida, Md Rehaman, Md Masiuddin, SK Yakub, Md Basha, Wyda Begum, Md Yunush and SK Khan were present along with others.
