Hyderabad team wins inter-district men’s hockey tournament
On the day, last day of the tournament semi-finals and final matches were held. Warangal team entered finals by defeating Nizamaba team while Hyderabad team reached finals by defeating Adilabad team. In an exciting final match Hyderabad team defeated Warangal. Nizamabad team stood at third place.
Hanamkonda: Hyderabad team has emerged winner at the State-level senior inter-district men’s hockey tournament that concluded here Sunday.The three-day tournament was organised by Telangana Hockey at Vaagdevi College of Physical Education grounds at Bollikunta on the outskirts of the city with the support of Vaagdevi Group of Institutions.

During a ceremony to present the prizes, Mamnoor ACP S Mahender, Telangana Hockey State General Secretary N Mukesh Kumar and its district president Ch Sudharshan Reddy and others have presented trophies and mementos to winners up and runners up teams.
They congratulated the teams that stood at first three places and said in sports in was not just winning that matters but the participation and every effort to put up to win matters. Vaagdevi College administrative officer C Satyapal Reddy promised to extend support to organise tournaments at the college.
Vaagdevi Group of Institutions secretary Ch Devender Reddy, Treasurer Ch Ratnakar Reddy, principal Moiz Ahmed, Telangana Hockey district secretary Syed Osman and others were present.
