Ketepally: Stating that students are the future citizens of the society, District Collector Gaurav Uppal felt that students must have the knowledge on voting system and on enrollment as a voterThe Collector on Monday attended a programme held at St Anns College of Rayapuram of Ketepalli mandal in the district, which organised ahead of National Voters’ Day to be celebrated on January 25. As a part of the programme, the Collector interacted with students and explained the role of a voter in democracy and asked them to enroll as voters after attaining 18 years of age.

He advised the students to educate illiterates, friends and relatives on the importance of exercising their voting right and elect the right person for the betterment of society and progress of the nation.

The Collector clarified all doubts raised by the students on rigging, procedure for enrolment and etc. Nakerekal Tahsildar Ambedkar, Mandal Education Officers Chandra Shekar Reddy, Venkateshwarlu, college management members Sister Daisy, Jhansi and others participated.
