Khammam: Members of the Communist Party of India (CPI) on Monday staged a dharna here seeking the Centre to expose the black money hoarders who deposited the stash in banks post demonetisation.

Speaking on the occasion, the district secretary of the CPI party Bagam Hemanth Rao alleged that before taking the decision of demonetisation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the decision was taken to bring black money hoarders into light and to curb the fake currency that was circulating in the country. But now, he changed his words and saying that the decision was taken to bring the nation on to the path of digitalisation, which was nothing but deceiving the people of the country.

“Before and after the November 8 decision, crores of rupees had been deposited in the bank accounts of BJP leaders and corporate companies. Only few people and some corporate, which are friendly to the government, are supporting the note ban decision,” he criticised.He demanded the government to disclose the details of the amount of black money deposited in banks before and after the decision of ban on big notes.

He also demanded the Prime Minister to explain why he deceived the common man. Party leaders Potu Prasad, SK Jani Miya, Md Salaam, BG Climont, Thati Venkateshwar Rao, Ch Seethama Lakshmi, Thati Nirmala, Jagarlapudi Ranjith Kumar, Yanali Sambashiva Reddy, Anugu Gandhi, Padala Mallesh, and Jwala Narasimha Rao were present along with others.
