Expedite Shadikhana works, Cong demands
A meeting was held here at district Congress party office in Khammam under the leadership of district president Tajuiddin with the representatives of the district Minority unit of the party on Monday.
Khammam: The state convenor of the Minority unit of Congress party Md Fazal demanded the government to start the construction works of Shadikhana immediately which were pending.

Attending as a chief guest, Fazal said many Muslim Minorities were facing severe problems for not having a well-equipped Shadikhana here in Khammam city.
“The existing Shadikhana is in ruins with toilets in worst condition. How can women use such toilets?” he questioned.Prior to municipal elections, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao announced Rs 2 crore for remodelling of existing Shadikhana and another Rs 2 crore for the construction of new Shadikhana. However, he did not sanction the amount till date, he alleged.
District president of the Minority unit Tajuiddin said the government called for tenders two times for the remodelling of existing Shadikhana and for the construction of New Shadikhana but the works did not start till date.
He demanded the government to start the construction works of Shadikhana along with remodelling of the existing one immediately, otherwise threatened to launch an agitation.
The city president of the Minority unit Isaq Ahmed, district unit leaders SK Gouse, Chota Baba, Ahmed, Zaheer, Sd Gouse, Bademiya, Mahamad Jhani, Bikkan, Yakub Pasha and Sama Ahmed were present along with others.
