Suryapet: Six members of Aurnodhaya Cultural Forum (ACF) including its general secretary Malsoor were reportedly arrested on Monday by the Athmakaur (S) police.
According to sources, the police took them into the custody for their alleged involvement in extortion activities. It was came to light that the police have sufficient evidence that the arrested six members raised funds through extortion for a programme which was lead by organisation president Vimalakka at Mukunderapally village in the district few weeks ago. It is learnt that the police are planning to bind over all the six members before the Tahsildar.
