Armoor: State Kisan Keth president and former MLA M Kodanda Reddy on Monday urged the TRS government to purchase the red jowar and turmeric produced more across the State by local farmers, thus coming to their rescue.

Participating in the convention of farmers organised by all the Opposition parties, where he was the chief guest , Reddy called upon the district administration to correct the many flaws in the pattadar passbooks.

Later, speaking to The Hans India, he said that farmers were being forced to approach officials on a daily basis for getting the mistakes in the passbooks corrected, getting diverted from their regular cultivation.

The Kisan Keth leader replied to queries posed by the audience, including farmers.Among those present were former State Assembly Speaker K R Suresh Reddy, ex-Government Whip Anil, Kisan Keth vice-president Anvesh Reddy, TRS official representative Rajaram Yadav, besides representatives of various political parties.
