Palvancha: Kothagudem MLA Jalagam Venkat Rao on Tuesday distributed the Kalyana Lakshmi cheques to 22 women beneficiaries at the local RDO’s office.
Later addressing a gathering of women, the legislator said the TRS regime’s sole objective was to work for the uplift of poor.
Speaking to The Hans India, Rao described the Kalyana Lakshmi assistance, being provided by the government, as a boon when birth of a girl itself was being viewed as a curse.
He said the assistance was making the lives of young women happy.
