Nizamabad: Commissioner of Police cautioned those people of the district who were going on a vacation for Sankranti falling on Saturday to be careful.

In a press release here on Tuesday, he said that those going on holidays should follow certain precautionary measures.

He told them to keep a vigil on the news paper boys who come in the early hours and those who come to pluck flowers and on the rag pickers.

The Commissioner of Police also advised the people to lick their houses properly and not to give their keys to their friends or neighbours.

They should stay away and avoid strangers who keep on loitering during the nights. They should not keep costly material in their neighbour’s houses if they go out of station.

Commissioner Karthikeya advised the women and senior citizens residing in the house not to entertain strangers.

He also told them to take down the landline phone numbers and mobile phone numbers of their neighbours and keep in touch with them regularly.

He told them to go on a short vacation and come back as soon as possible to be on the safe side.
