Priority to govt schools in providing facilities: TSCAB Chairman

He inaugurated ‘Gorumudda’ programme at Gorantala Government High School in Gambhiraopet village of Yellareddypet mandal on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the TSCAB Chairman said that facilities like benches, construction of toilets, compound wall, drinking water etc, required for running schools successfully, will be provided with the help of donors. The mid-day meals programme also would be implemented successfully in all schools.
District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar said SSC examinations carry great importance in the country. ‘SSC students must concentrate more on studies keeping all their works aside for two months and must work hard to score good marks in the examinations. Passing is not important but scoring more marks is important,” advised the Collector.
He also said that Gorumudda programmes is organised with the money collected from the donors. The students must utilise this programme and must work hard to reach their goals and must get good name to their parents and to the district.
Later, the Collector distributed RuPay cards to the new bank account holders at Deshaipet Village Panchayat Bank to encourage cashless transactions.
TSCAB Chairman K Ravinder Rao and District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar visited Samudralingalapuram village and consoled the owners of sheep and goats, which were killed by stray dogs and assured of giving ex-gratia to them that as per the government rules. District Educational Officer Radha Krishna, sarpanchs and MPPs were present along with others.
