Petty vendors to keep off roads for hassle-free ride

Nalgonda: District SP Prakash Reddy stated that police department along with other line departments, in view of increasing traffic, had decided to reguralise it in a systematic way to avoid accidents and provide hassel-free journey in the Nalgonda town. On Wednesday, the SP along with officials of Roads and Buildings, Municipal and Zilla Parishad toured the town.

Speaking on the occasion, the SP said on the request of denizen traffic signals, median openings, free left diversion ways were arranged in the town at all main centres.

He said it was noticed that commuters were facing problems at Clock Tower centre with roadside vegetable vendors encroaching the roads for carrying out business. Keeping in view the traffic issues arising out of it, vendors would be soon shifted to Prakasam Bazar vegetable market.

As a part of traffic regulation, several diversion roads were planned at busy centres like NG College, Collectorate road, Devarakonda road, Bus stand road, Prakasam Bazar and Pangal road, he informed. Joint Collector and in-chrarge municipal commissioner of Nalgonda Satyanarayana Reddy stated that it was the duty of line departments to work collectively with police to regularise the traffic in an effective way. He directed Municipal officials to carry out repairs to the roads in town where ever it was needed.
