Police warn against employing child labour

Explaining the newly-launched ‘Operation Smile’ programme as part of ‘Operation Child Labour’, the DSP stated that action would be taken against the establishments employing children below 18 years of age. The police would counsel the parents of the children and persuade them to send their kids to schools, Reddy told The Hans India.
Suryapet: Kodad Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramana Reddy on Wednesday warned that cases would be registered against owners of shops and factories for employing child labourers.
