Warangal Police Commissionerate is set to host the second Telangana State Police Sports and Games-2017 scheduled to be held from March 3 to 7.
​Hanamkonda: Warangal Police Commissionerate is set to host the second Telangana State Police Sports and Games-2017 scheduled to be held from March 3 to 7.
Police Sports wing Additional DGP VV Srinivas Rao along with Commissioner of Police G Sudheer Babu held a meeting with senior officials and sport coaches here on Wednesday to review the arrangements for the five-day event.
They made a power point presentation on the requirements for the smooth conduct of the event and identification of grounds and courts with proper infrastructure.
They presented the details of material and manpower required and the participating teams. Both Sudheer Babu and Srinivas Rao have expressed pleasure for organising the event in Warangal city which is known for its rich cultural and historic heritage.
The city is a suitable location for conducting the event as there are experience coaches available here.
Discussions are held on the arrangements for the accommodation of the visiting teams. Later on the day, the officials have visited JNS Grounds, Indoor Stadium, Gymnastics Stadium, Yoga Centre and others.
DCPs MS Venugopal, T Venkanna and Md Ismail, State Police Sports Officer S Jayaram, ACPs Muralidhar, B Janardhan, Chaitanya Kumar, Padnabha Reddy, Sudheendra, Mahender and others were present.
