As many as 6,617 students participated in essay writing competitions held here on Monday in connction with the National Voters Day on January 25. 

Sircilla: As many as 6,617 students participated in essay writing competitions held here on Monday in connction with the National Voters Day on January 25.

Helping Hearts Welfare Society organised the competition which was supervised by Sircilla Tahsildar.

While inspecting various colleges, District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar advised all eligible students to enroll their name as voters and said the nation’s future is dependent on the way the right to vote is utilised.

‘I was pleased to see more than 6,000 students from 15 colleges are participating in the essay writing competition marking National Voters Day celebrations,’ he said.

Sircilla Tahsildar Raju said the essay writing competition was conducted with the association of Helping Hearts Welfare Society following orders from Election Commission to create awareness among voters and students.
