Road Safety Week concludes
Road Safety Week, organised to motivate and educate people about safe driving following traffic rules to prevent accidents, was concluded here on Monday.
Ramagundam: Road Safety Week, organised to motivate and educate people about safe driving following traffic rules to prevent accidents, was concluded here on Monday.
The week-long celebrations commenced from January 17 under Commissionerate limits with a different theme.
The celebrations were concluded with a massive two-wheeler rally in Ramagundam on Monday from the Commissionerate office to Traffic police station along with conducting Rangoli competitions for women.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramagundam Police Commissioner Vikram Jeet Duggal said that awareness programmes on road safety will be organised everyday with ART (Accident Resolution Team) under the Commissionerate limits along with conducting review meetings for preventing road accidents.
Inculcating good living habits without getting addicted to alcohol and driving vehicles safely will avoid several road accidents, he pointed.
Later, the Commissioner of Police issued certificates to the volunteers, who played a key role on the occasion of Road Safety Week celebrations.
