Voter enrollment campaign vehicle flagged off in Karimnagar
District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed flagged off ‘Voter Awareness Campaigning Vehicle’ meant for creating awareness among people on voter enrolment, at the Collectorate here on Monday.
Karimnagar: District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed flagged off ‘Voter Awareness Campaigning Vehicle’ meant for creating awareness among people on voter enrolment, at the Collectorate here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that necessary steps were taken to celebrate National Voters Day on a grand note on January 25 in the district.
As part of the programme, painting, quiz, elocution and essay writing competitions will be conducted from booth level to village, mandal, constituency and district level.
Prizes would be given to the winners at district-level on January 25 on the occasion of National Voters Day, along with felicitating young voters, who enrolled their names for the first time and senior citizens, the Collector briefed.
Cultural artistes will tour Huzurabad, Manakondur and Choppadandi constituencies in the campaigning vehicle from Monday to create awareness among the public on voter enrolment and about the right to vote.
Karimnagar Tahsildar Jaychander Reddy, Deputy Tahsildar Srinivas and Revenue Inspector Kiran Kumar were present along with others.
