KarSalaam to generate one lakh salutes for soldiers

LG Electronics India Limited is celebrating the 68th Republic Day with the #KarSalaam initiative, dedicated to Indian soldiers. The campaign invites the nation to send their wishes to the Indian Armed Forces in an attempt to generate one lakh salutes by Friday.

Through this initiave, LG will salute the soldiers’ spirit of selfless contribution and service towards the country, said actresses Hamsa Nandini after the unveiling function.

LG is reaching out to citizens through radio, on ground and digital communication to capture the wishes. The company is also inviting people through social media platforms and encourating them to #KarSalaam (express their gratitude). All Indians are invited to post their wishes for soldiers on www.karsalaam.in.

At the launch of this campaign, Amit Gujral, Head - Corporate Marketing, LG Electronics India said, “We salute the spirit of our soldiers who valiantly give up their life to protect the country but hardly find an opportunity to reach out to them. Therefore, we took this initiative to bring together the citizens of India to express their gratitude to our soldiers.

“As a small token of our effort to salute the spirit of India, LG will contribute a certain amount to the National Defence Fund and our citizens’ wishes will be shared with the Indian soldiers,” he said.
