Lok Satta leaders ask youth to join politics

Warangal: Everyone person, who casts his/her vote in the elections, becomes a part of the political system, observed Lok Satta Udyama Samstha (LSUS) Telugu states convener B Rammohan Rao.

He said every citizen has the power that influences the future of the nation by casting vote. Those, who fails to participate in polling on an election day has no moral right to criticise either the politics or those, who got elected.

Youth should join politics and strive to cleanse the present system. Youth’s active participation in politics could dismiss the notion that politics were meant for only for those who got muscle and money power, he suggested.

Rammohan Rao, along with the organisation advisor Parcha Kodandarama Rao addressed a gathering of students at AVV College, where the LSUS has organised a conference on ‘Politics-role of youth’ in Warangal on Wednesday, marking National Voters Day.

They appealed youth should enrol as voters and enter political field to change present day political system mired with exploitation and to build a just society. ‘You should understand that vote is a great weapon to bring about that change’ they told the students.’

Kodandarama Rao asked the students to have comprehensive information about the happenings in the political sphere, do their part to create principled society.

Instead of hoping of another Mahatma Gandhi and BR Ambedkar to take birth to change the system youth should move forward in that direction.

“Politics are a sacred avocation and youth should participate in it to serve people in selfless manner,” he added.

The College Principal G Meeneshwar Rao, secretary Chanda Vijaya Kumar, LSUS district convener G Jaganmohan Reddy, Yuva Satta convener Thota Pavan and others were present.
