The 68th Republic Day celebration at Dr MCR HRD Institute, Government of Telangana was a motivating affair. A large number of officers, faculty, staff, and trainees attended the function, along with their family and friends.

The celebration started with Vinod K Agrawal, Director General of the Institute hoisting the flag.

Speaking at the event, Agrawal said that India has not only become the fastest growing economy in the world but also registered spectacular achievements in terms of all parameters of multifaceted development.

“While a number of other countries, which got independence around the same time as India did, their socio-economic and educational achievements leave much to be desired. However, India’s growth trajectory continues unabated,” he Vinod and added that India has become a source of inspiration for other countries and is all set to become one of the global super powers.

Agarwal further said that the world leaders in the past had an apprehension and doubt about the survival of India as a nation on account of its huge diversity in terms of religions, languages and cultures. He added that with a sense of pride, that India, with its impressive and consistent growth, has proved all of them wrong.

Later, Agrawal distributed prizes to the winners in sports, literary and other competitions.
