​Sircilla: The developmental activities will be completed successfully with the participation of people, told the Minister for Information Technology K T Rama Rao here in Sircilla on Monday.

The Minister laid foundation stones for various developmental activities here at Gabbiraopet and Ellareddypet villages.

He also laid stones for the construction of cement roads at a cost of Rs 65 lakh, warehouse of Agricultural Market Committee at a cost of Rs 30 lakh and for construction of compound wall to Zilla Parishad School at a cost of 18 lakh at Nagampet village of Sircilla here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the IT Minister urged the people to participate in the developmental activities and make Sircilla an ideal for other districts in the State.

He also said various developmental activities were underway in the constituency and in the State.

The government was supplying uninterrupted nine-hour power supply to the farming community apart from giving pensions to about 4 lakh members of Beedi workers present in the State, said the Minister.

“The government had waived Rs 17,000 crore farm loans of 36 lakh farmers present in the State. Under Mission Kakatiya, about one lakh acres of land from Mid Manair to Upper Manair area will be supplied water by filling the tanks and lakes present in the Sircilla district,” assured the IT Minister.

The Minister advised the people living in towns and villages to utilise the toilets constructed without defecating in open as the district had been announced Open Defecation-Free.

He also advised them to admit the children in government schools as they were upgraded to English medium and digital classes were launched.

KTR appreciated the school management of Zilla Parishad School of Nagampet village for increasing the school strength from a mere 45 to 170 members.

He suggested the District Collector to grant funds for the construction of village Panchayat, Anganwadi buildings and community halls in Nagampet village.

District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar, District Revenue Officer Shyam Prasad Lal, ZPTC’s, MPP’s, MPTC’s and Sarpanches of villages and mandals concerned were present along with others.
