100 days of Kamareddy district

​Kamareddy: The new district of Kamareddy, carved out by bifurcating Nizamabad has completed 100 days on Monday. with the appointment of Dr N Satyanarayana as the new District Collector and Sathiah as Joint Collector, social welfare and development programmes are being implemented in a brisk pace to realize the fixed targets. Moreover, they a special focus on the backward regions of the district and accorded top priority in resolving the problems faced by the people.

The district administration has started implementing the Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhagiratha, Haritha Haaram and others social welfare programmes with right earnest. Every week inspections at the field level regarding their implementation was being done.

People’s representations and grievances are being uploaded online and on the first Monday of every month, the District Collector and the Joint Collector holds a ‘Prajavaani’ or people’s durbar to listen to the grievances of the people.

Along with this, ‘Dial Your Collector’ programme is also held to get to know about the civic problems faced by the people. Till now, 52 grievances were received and redressed in this programme.

On the first Saturday of every month, the entire district administration move to Jukkal to solve the problems of the people there as the region is extremely backward. Right now, the rate of literacy is 51.6 per cent in the district and efforts were being made to enhance it to higher levels.

The district administration is also taking steps to improve the conditions of women and children. Nutritious food is being supplied to pregnant women and children at the anganwadi centres and primary health centres.

Focus is also being made on agriculture by taking the help of Reliance Foundation. Apart from these, efforts were being made to improve the living conditions of fishermen.

Another significant development in the district is the increasing role of women in district administration. They are working in their own styles to develop the district. They are showing their administrative capabilities.

Superintendent of police Swetha Reddy who has taken charge since Dussera is taking steps to ensure proper law and order without any compromise. She set up SHE teams for protection of women. She already made visits to Yellareddy, Banswada, Jukkal, Kamareddy constituencies and got hold on the conditions prevailing in the district.

Manimala took charge as the District Revenue officer on January 19 and Ch Balamani has taken charge as Divisional Forest Officer since Dasara.

Gangubai has been promoted as the district marketing officer from the level of market committee secretary.

Prasanna Rani took charge as deputy Superintendent of police on January 17. Vijayalakshmi took charge as Municipal commissioner. Durga Pramela took charge as transport officer. Rekha Bhanu took charge as sub-divisional forest officer.
