Khammam: Congress Legislature Party Deputy Leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao when the latter was here to inaugurate the Bhakta Ramadasu Lift Irrigation Scheme (BRLIS) on Tuesday.

Raising a few pertinent points relating to Krishna water sharing, Reddy urged the Chief Minister to ensure Telangana share with which the irrigation needs of Zone-II under the ayacut of Nagarjuna Sagar Project (NSP) Left Canal would be catered.

“As of now, the release of water to Zone-II ayacut is inadequate during the Rabi,” Reddy, referring to the plight of farmers in the region said.

He demanded a probe by CB-CID alleging irregularities in sand reaches and adulterated chilli powder racketeering.

Referring to the CM’s promise to develop Bhadradri temple, he urged the government to release funds immediately.

His demands also included to release of Rabi crop loans to farmers, helping hand to granite industry, exerting pressure on Central government for the re-desigining of Polavaram Project so that the submergence area gets minimised.

He also urged the government to carve out a new district with Sathupally as its headquarters.
