Khammam: CPI city secretary SK Jani Miya alleged that some of the government employees have encroached the habitations of poor, who were staying on government lands, and forced them to leave those places by threatening them.

During a meeting with the party activists, under the leadership of the Anugu Gandhi here in Khammam on Thursday, Jani Miya said some of the government employees by encroaching hundreds of yards of government lands were declaring themselves as owners of those lands.

“The government employees who encroached the land are forcing the poor to vacate the lands by threatening them, and the government is supporting their staff’s act,” he alleged.

“If the revenue officials fail to take immediate action, then CPI will occupy those government lands and will distribute them to poor people,” he warned.

Party leaders Nanabala Rama Krishna, Jhon Khan and Zakeer were present along with others.
