Kothagudem: District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu directed the Tahasildars to maintain transparency while selecting the beneficiaries for double bedroom houses.

He held a review meeting with Tahasildars over schemes like Kalyana Lakshmi, double bedroom houses, government lands, Sada Bainamas and SevaLal birth anniversary celebrations here at Collectorate on Thursday.

Speaking to the officials, the Collector directed them to make arrangements for the upcoming celebration of Sevalal’s 258th birth anniversary across the State on February 15. He said a committee would be formed with local legislator as chairman and another four people.

The committee will take up the responsibility of organising the event in a grand manner, informed the Collector. While reviewing Kalyana Lakshmi, Hanumanthu asked officials concerned to speed up the works of pending applications and complete the work within time.

The Collector asked the officials to complete the selection of double bedroom house beneficiaries by February. He further said selection process involves three stages and priority would be given to four-member family.

He asked the officials to identify the encroachments of government lands by taking the help of forest department. The Collector assured pattas to the eligible people while reacting on Sada Bainamas.

Joint Collector M Ramkishan, district revenue officer S Kiran Kumar, revenue division officer M V Ravindranath, Shivanarayana, Tahasildars and others were attended the meeting.
