Peddapalli: Leaders of Youth Congress, along with the beneficiaries of Indiramma Houses staged a protest with the documents in front of the Collectorate in Peddapalli on Thursday, demanding release of pending bills immediately.

Speaking on the occasion, Youth Congress vice-president Kondi Satish said that Congress party had allotted Indiramma Houses to about 500 beneficiaries in Peddapalli in 2009, to about 320 members on the outskirts of Chandupalli village in the land with survey number 1190 and to about 130 members near railway gate in the land with survey number 644.

Several people have constructed houses in lands allotted to them by borrowing money from others on interest, hoping to repay the loan as soon as the government releases bill. But the government did not released the bills till date due to which the beneficiaries are facing severe problems, he lamented.

There are no proper roads, current and water taps in these areas, he pointed out. Satish demanded the government release of pending bills immediately along with solving the issues existing in the lands with survey numbers 1190 and 644 where the beneficiaries of Indiramma Houses are living in miserable conditions.

Otherwise Congress leaders would stage a massive dharna in front of the Collectorate with the beneficiaries of Indiramma Houses, he warned.

Youth Congress leaders Tajuddin, Jayadev, Bodupalli Sampath, Raju Ravi and Zakeer were participated in the dharna along with the beneficiaries of Indiramma Houses.
