Hanamkonda: District Congress president N Rajender Reddy has demanded the Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, to lead a delegation to New Delhi to hold talks with the Centre on SC’s categorisation.
He launched a two-day ‘Mahadeeksha’ by Madiga Students Federation (MSF) at Kakatiya University on Friday where a group of students have taken up hunger strike in support of their demands.
Addressing the gathering, the Congress leader said the CM has promised to take the issue of categorisation to the notice of the Union government in order to expedite the process of categorising Scheduled Castes.
But now, he was maintaining silence even as the students and the community members were staging protests across the State.
The CM should immediately constitute an all-party delegation and take the delegation to the nation’s capital to represent the case to the NDA government.
Warangal (West) Youth Congress president Rohith Singh Thakur, leaders Ambedkar Raju, Nagesh, Kunamalla Sunil, the MSF leaders were present.
