He attended a review meeting to discuss on Animal Husbandry with officials concerned at the Collectorate conference hall here on Friday.

Speaking at the meeting, the Collector said that the newly appointed medical officers must provide medical services to the animals and they should be available to the farmers at all times. There are about 140 sheep cooperative societies in the district with 1,145 members.

Persons, who raise sheep, must enrol their names as members in the sheep cooperative society to get government loans, the Collector informed.

He ordered the officials of cooperative societies to complete the audit works of the Sheep Cooperative Societies and submit the report to him within a week.

District Animal Husbandry Officer Dr K Ashok Kumar, Sheep Cooperative Society president Odelu Yadav, members Venkateshwarlu Yadav, Mallesh Yadav and Ganga Mallu were present along with others.
