Nalgonda: CPM state leader Julakanti Rangareddy demanded the State government to complete the projects in order of priority on war foot to provide water for drinking and irrigation in the district.

Speaking to media in Nalgonda on the occasion of 3,000 km journey of Mahajana Padayatra of party leaders, Julakanti said even after two-and-a-half years of Telangana formation the status of canals of Nagarjunasagar and SLBC remain the same.

Criticising Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Julakanti said the CM was also following the footsteps of Andhra rulers in fulfilling poll promises.

People are bringing their issues to the notice of leaders of CPM during Mahajana Padayatra in the State, he claimed.

He added that even after 75 years of independence, the fate of the people, especially in rural areas, remained the same with no access to facilities with regard to education, medical treatment and employment.

He informed that Padayatra would enter the district at Tekumatla Bridge on March 19 and party district unit has been making all necessary arrangements for the success of the yatra.

He urged people to support the yatra to mount pressure on the government to fulfill its poll promises.

Party district secretary Mudireddy Sudhkar Reddy, Rama Sharma, Tummala Veera Reddy, Banda Srisailam and others participated in the press meet.
