Cow rescued after a three-day struggle at Gaddenavagu project in Nirmal
In a daring operation at the Gaddenavagu project in Bhainsa mandal in the district on Monday, a cow which has been struggling for the last three days after getting stuck in the water has been finally rescued with the help of the Fire Department and the fishermen.

Going into the details, some of the children who were playing around the dam found a cow which got stuck at the edge of the dam.
They immediately informed the fishermen. However owing to the uncertain depth of the water, they were not able to bring cow out as it was in a condition sitting in the water for a long time.
The town Goshala was informed and they immediately ensured that the cow was served with food and glucose. The town veterinary doctor went to the spot and gave an injection to the cow to ensure its safety.
Later the Fire Department was also informed and the department personnel rushed to the spot and struggled hard to rescue the cow.
Two of the fishermen Madhav and Tukaram said, "We are really grateful to the people and the Fire department personnel for giving a swift response to our concern and helping us in removing the cow to a safe place".
The local Goshala members Subhash Darak, Prakash Vyas, Umesh Purohit and Mahesh lauded the efforts of the Fire Department personnel.
