Sircilla: Deworming tablets should be given to children between the age group of one to 19 years to stop growth of warms in the intestines, advised District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar.

Speaking with the officials here on Monday, he said that on the occasion of National Deworming Day that falls on February 10, deworming tablets must be given to about 1,25,688 children below 19 years of age identified in the district.

The tablets will be given to about 35,458 children of nearly 575 anganwadi centres, which are present under 14 Primary Health Centres and to about 90,230 students of schools and colleges in the district.

Half tablet should be given to children aged between one to two years and full tablet to all the children between two to 19 years.

All the staff of health department along with anganwadi workers must participate in the programme of administering distributing tablets to children, to make it success.

Not even a single child should be missed, the Collector directed the officials.
