​Hanamkonda: The notification for admission into M Phil and Ph D programmes at Kakatiya University has been released after a gap of four years.

Following the UGC Regulation 2009, ‘Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M Phil/Ph D Degree’ came into existence and the KU has conducted Ph D admissions for first time in 2011. The last notification was issued in 2013.

The University Director of Admissions Prof M Krishna Reddy, who issued the notification here on Monday, said that candidates have to submit applications online. Ph D programme is offered in different subjects in the faculties of arts, commerce and business management, education, engineering and technology, law, pharmaceutical sciences, science and social sciences.

M Phil programme is offered in social sciences like economics, history, human resource management, political science, public administration, Sociology, Telugu, English, commerce and business management and education, he said.

The candidates can submit their applications from February 7 (Tuesday) and the last date to apply is February 28 and with a late of Rs 500 applications can be submitted till March 10.

The candidates have to logon to websites www.kakatiya.ac.in or www.director. [email protected] to submit applications. M Phil entrance test is scheduled on March 24 and Ph D test will be conducted on March 25.

The candidates must have passed the master’s degree in the concerned subject with a minimum of 55 per cent of marks (in case of SC/ST/PH candidates 50 per cent of marks) to appear for the entrance test, Prof Krishna Reddy added.

The registration fee for Ph D is Rs 1,000 (In case of SC/ST/PH candidates fee is Rs 750). The registration fee for M Phil is Rs 700 (In case of SC/ST/PH candidates fee is Rs 500 only).
