Officials told to submit list of beedi workers in Jagtial

​Jagtial: District Collector Dr A Sharath directed the officials to prepare a list with the details all beedi workers in the district.

He reviewed various welfare schemes implemented in the district through video conference with the officials, at the Sub-Collector office in Jagtial on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector directed the officials to prepare the list of beedi workers present in the villages, who have provident fund (PF) and not receiving pension and submit the report to him within week.

Sharath said that a prize money of Rs 2 lakh will be awarded to the first 25 villages of the district that completes toilet construction works along with soaking pits and dumping yards.

The officials were told to complete the repairing works of damaged roads under R&B and Panchayat Raj departments.

The officials must visit their adopted schools at least twice in a week and must take special care in arranging special classes to the SSC students. The weak students should be sent to the nearby residential school for improving their standards.

‘If the officials notice any problem pertaining schools, bring it to my notice for solving them immediately,’ he suggested.
