​Peddapalli: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) Chairman Somarapu Satyanarayana directed the officials to modernise bus stands and depots in the district.

He attended a review meeting along with Collector Dr V S Alagu Varshini and officials of Road and Transport Department at the Collectorate Conference hall here on Monday.

Addressing the officials, he said that the government is focusing on the development of bus stands in the State and the government had released funds for the development of bus stands in the district.

He ordered the officials to prepare a report for providing basic facilities required for modernisation of bus stands along with their beautification on par with international standards.

Collector Alagu Varshini ordered the officials not to compromise on quality in beautification and modernisation works of bus stands. If needed extra funds will be released for the purpose, she added.

Bus stands in Chennai, Chandigarh and Ludhiana are more beautiful to look at. The officials must develop the bus stands in the district on the same standards by studying those bus stands, she suggested.

Peddapalli MLA Dasari Manohar Reddy, Manthani MLA Putta Madhu, RTC Regional Manager Chandra Shekar, Divisional Manager Ravi, Godavarikhani bus depot manager Ravinder, Manthani bus depot manager Mallesh and Karimnagar-2 bus depot manager Lakshman were present along with Executive Engineer of Civil department Rama Rao.
