​Khammam: District Collector D S Lokesh Kumar ordered the officials to take necessary steps for the smooth conduct of SSC examinations to be held from March14 to 30.

He chaired a review meeting with the officials of Education department here at Pragna Conference Hall in the Collectorate in Khammam on Tuesday.

Addressing the officials, the Collector ordered the officials to take all measures for conducting the SSC examinations glitch-free in the district.

He said about 19,688 students would take the exam in 96 centres in the district. “Provide all basic facilities to the students at the examination centres.

Impose Section 144 to prevent any untoward incidents providing tight security apart from asking the owners of xerox shops situated near the examination centres to remain closed,” ordered the Collector.

He suggested the officials to arrange necessary mobile squad for smooth conduct of the examination along with special RTC buses, drinking water facility, toilets and necessary furniture for the convenience of the students.

“If there is no compound wall to the school where the examination centre is allotted then arrange temporary fencing and also provide uninterrupted power supply during examinations,” ordered the Collector.

Joint Collector T Vinay Krishna Reddy, District Education Officer Vijay Lakshmi Bhai, Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad Marapaka Nagesh, Deputy Superintendent of Police Suresh Kumar, Project Director of District Rural Development Agency Muralidhar Rao, Divisional Manager of the TSRTC Ram Murthy and District Transport Officer Bingi Srinivas were present along with others.
