​Nizamabad: Minister for Agriculture and Cooperatives Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and the Mission Bhagiradha Chairman V Prashant Reddy participated in several developmental programmes in the Balkonda constituency in the district on Tuesday.

They inaugurated a gram panchayat office worth Rs 13 lakh and a sub-station worth Rs 1.5 crore at Dharmora village of Morthad mandal in Nizamabad district.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Pocharam said that the TRS government was according top priority to the development of agriculture in Telangana State.

He pulled up the field assistants for their laxity in implementing the welfare and development schemes, especially the MGNREGS.

He said that the previous governments gave two or three hours of power supply every day to the farmers while the present government was giving nine hours of power supply.

The Agriculture Minister said that the problem relating to power scarcity would be resolved permanently soon as the State government would take steps to produce 20, MW of electricity and the project would be taken at a cost of Rs 91,000 crore. Several TRS leaders were present on the occasion.
