Khammam: All the politicos irrespective of their party affiliations are in a constant conspiracy against me to thwart my growth, Minister for Roads and Buildings Tummala Nageswara Rao has said.

The Minister, who launched several developmental works in Sathupalli on Thursday, said he had to fight against external and internal political forces right through his 35 years of political life.

“Unfortunately, my detractors equate their inability to grow in as a leader to my political presence in the region, but they should learn that I never depended on industrialists or other big shots for my rise in politics.

I always kept my faith in people’s support and worked for them,” Rao said, advising his rivals to stop mudslinging against him.

Talking on welfare of the farmers, he said government was trying to strengthen the cooperative banking sector in the State. Referring to the upcoming four-lane road and Kothagudem-Sathupalli railway line, he said Sathupalli will soon witness a massive development.

Earlier, the Minister laid foundation stone for Sadasivunipalem-Tumburu, and Lingapalem-Gurubatlagudem bridges with an outlay of Rs 7 crore.

He also inaugurated a Rs 45 lakh godown and cooperative society building in Tumburu village. ZP chairperson G Kavitha and DCCB chairman Muvva Vijay Babu also spoke.

SC Corporation chairman Pidamarthi Ravi, ZP CEO M Nagesh and Kallur RDO Kumudinin Reddy were among others present.
