The MP, who was on a sudden inspection to the KV on Friday, directed the school management to send the details of vacancies to the Central government, assuring that he would pursue the matter with the authorities concerned.

“There will not be any complacency as far as the standard of teaching is concerned,” Reddy said, stressing the need for conducting classes in the second shift also.

Further, he asked the teaching staff to focus on improving pass percentage. He said students would be provided with all facilities.

After inspecting classrooms, he expressed dissatisfaction over the hygiene of the school precincts, especially with the unkempt toilets.

The MP also appeared angry after he found non-completion of mineral water plant which he provided funds from the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Division (MPLAD) some six months ago.

Reddy said he would release funds for an internal road connecting school and bypass road in the next financial year.

Corporators Dharavath Rammurthy Naik, Dorepalli Shwetha, TRS leaders Mudireddy Niranjan Reddy, Akula Murthy, Lingala Kamal Raj, Pulipati Prasad, Venkata Krishna, Keesara Padmaja Reddy, Ajmeera Ashok Naik and Vaddeboina Srinivas were among others present.

Earlier, the MP accompanied by Khammam Market Committee chairman RJC Krishna offered prayers and inaugurated poor feeding programme at the newly-constructed Peddamma Thalli temple in Rajendra Nagar.
