, Khammam: State general secretary of Telangana Cooperative Central Bank Employees Association Kanakam Janardhan Rao demanded the State government to merge all the branches of District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCB) with State Cooperative Banks like that of all the other banks of SBH merged with SBI here in Khammam on Sunday.

The district unit meeting of the Association was held under the leadership of State president Bojadla Prasad Rao here at the conference hall of RJC Educational Institutions in Khammam on Sunday.

Speaking in the meeting, Rao said every employee must work hard with coordination for the development of banks and make them tread the path of profits.

He also said cooperative banks are helping poor farmers by sanctioning loans irrespective of the present situation post note ban.

“Some of the bank employees are wasting the valuable time by using smartphones and indulging in WhatsApp and Facebook instead of spending working hours to help the customers and farmers,” he pointed out.

He advised the employees to implement two-level system for getting profits to the banks. He assured the employees who were newly-appointed of working for their welfare.

AITUC leader Shingu Narasimha Rao, DCCB Divisional Managers G Venu Gopal Rao, G Uday Sri, A Padmavathi, Assistant General Managers G Sitharama Rao, Telangana Cooperative Central Bank Employees Association District president G Praveen and General Secretary P Nagendar were present along with others.
