Participating in the eighth anniversary celebration of the news channel HMTV in the town on Sunday, he said that the programmes aired by the HMTV news channel during the Telangana Statehood agitation enlightened the people of the State and greatly influenced them.
The Hampi Pontiff advised the journalists of HMTV to throw light on various problems facing the people in the State and educate the people. He congratulated the staff for completing eight years.
Nizamabad Mayor Akula Sujatha cut a cake on the occasion and heaped praises on HMTV scribes for telecasting educative and entertaining programmes. She expressed the hope that they would continue to air such programmes in future.
